We only use Concrete fence posts, so they do not rot in the ground, like the old timber fence posts. They are made in a "H" shape, so the timber panels slot into them.

Often, the fencing will have a concrete base board beneath the timber panel. This keeps the wooden fence panel off the ground, and away from the moisture which causes rot, thus helping the fence to last much longer.
